Me and my friend chose a Maori proverb from one of my favourite books 'Mauri Ora'. We decided on this proverb for the Covid-19 pandemic. Rocks are shaped by the waves that hit them, both hard and soft. Sometimes pounding, sometimes lapping. And it's because of these waves they end up the way they are. But they still stand strong. And so will we, we will be shaped by this experience but we will still stand. Have a read of the proverb and think about what it means to you.
Pakari - Resilience
He toku tū moana.
As durable as a rock funded by the surf.
