Maybe now as the stars blink, and slowly open their eyes, they’re shining a little bit of light on us. After the sun has sunk below the horizon and it’s hard to see where to go. The stars peer out from under their blanket sending some light so we can see where we’re going. And that’s enough for now. To make it home. To make it back down the street. To make it to somewhere that I don’t really know. But with friends at my side we’ll find the way. The edge of the hills have faded with the setting sun too. Soon I’ll know them well like the Pouakais and I’ll be able to trace their outline with my finger in the dark, with the help of the stars.
