Off into the world

My time at NPGHS has come to an end and it couldn’t have been better! So here’s a few thoughts...

And in this world

Where sometimes it seems

That you can’t find your feet

Maybe you’ve found a foothold here

Where you can push off

And take flight

And soar through changing skies

And soar through the night

In and out of the stars

Like the huia did

And if you look close enough

Still does

And maybe you land in a tree

With branches that stretch far

Where those who have fallen

Have come back out in the leaves

Now with two feet on the ground

And arms out-stretched to the world

We run, with wind under our wings

We take off

And the world calls
